ironTracker was built with privacy as a core principle. No servers, no tracking, no advertising – your health data never leaves your device.

2. What we DON'T do

3. What we do

  • All data stays locally on your device
  • Workout data is stored in the Apple Health app
  • Timer settings and programs are stored encrypted in the app container
  • Watch sync only occurs between your own devices via Apple WatchConnectivity

4. Health Data (HealthKit)

ironTracker uses Apple HealthKit to record workout sessions. The following data is saved in the Health app:

This data does not leave the Apple Health app and is never read, analyzed, or shared by us. HealthKit data is only exported upon explicit user action.

You can revoke HealthKit access at any time under Settings β†’ Privacy & Security β†’ Health β†’ ironTracker.

6. iCloud Sync (optional)

iCloud sync is disabled by default and can optionally be enabled in the app settings.

When enabled, timer programs and workout history are synchronized across your devices via your personal iCloud account. Data remains exclusively in your private iCloud container (iCloud.io.hpn.irontracker) and is not accessible to us at any time.

Apple governs privacy for iCloud data in the Apple Privacy Policy.

7. Notifications (Push Notifications)

ironTracker can send optional local notifications to alert you when a timer interval ends. These notifications are created locally on your device and are not sent via external servers. You can disable notifications at any time under Settings β†’ Notifications β†’ ironTracker.

8. Subscriptions (In-App Purchases)

ironTracker is free to use. Subscriptions are voluntary support contributions with no functional restrictions on the core app.

ironTracker offers optional, auto-renewable annual subscriptions via Apple's In-App Purchase system (StoreKit):

  • Fanatic Supporter – €11.99/year
  • Great Supporter – €5.99/year

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

All payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple. We do not receive any payment data or billing information. Apple's privacy practices for In-App Purchases are governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.

9. Your Rights (GDPR)

Since ironTracker does not transmit any personal data to our servers, we have no access to your training data. To the extent that you wish to exercise rights against us as the data controller, you have the following rights:

  • Access (Art. 15 GDPR): Right to information about data we hold
  • Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): Right to correction of inaccurate data
  • Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): Right to deletion of your data
  • Restriction (Art. 18 GDPR): Right to restrict processing
  • Objection (Art. 21 GDPR): Right to object to processing
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): Right to receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Complaint: Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

You can delete all local app data at any time by uninstalling the app or via Settings β†’ General β†’ iPhone Storage β†’ ironTracker β†’ Delete App.
